The Ivy Glen has been planted with carefully chosen herbaceous and bulbous planting which is snugly tucked in between the ivy which is now flourishing.
White Trillium (trillium grandiflorum) commonly called Wake Robin.  In their natural habitat they need to grow for 15 years before flowering.  The age of a Trillium plant can often be determined by counting rings on the rhizome, up to about 26 rings. The white blossom is associated with Peace and Hope.  The Trilliums for the Ivy Glen were started from seed.

The Crescents, located in front of the Community Center. Since
this is a "staging" area enticing colours were chosen which also draw
passerbys into the Park.

The Birch Glade is a small "field" of beckoning wildflowers
and perennials located next to the Vietnam Memorial Fountain.
This area attracts lots of Hummingbirds and Monarch butterflies,
as well as people that like the sound of the water running over
the rocks, the scents of the many flowers, and the show of multi-
coloured "winged" life.
