The Soldiers Memorial:
This area is presently graced by 5 Crab Apple
trees, which have been recently sprayed with a
3% horticultural oil spray.  These have been
stressed due to lack of consistent irrigation
since they were planted in 2003.  A fully
integrated system of yearly spraying is planned.
The 2 horizontal beds have been planted with:
Scarlet snapdragons
Setcrecea Purple Queen
Ageratum white bouquet
Bulbs: Tulip Professor  De Monsseri
             Narcissi Accent
             Tulip Holland's Glory

The 5 vertical beds have been planted with:
Blythe Spirit Roses
Rue is used as a natural curb on Japanese
Beetles
Parsley is wonderful in preventing aphids
Scarlet Dreamland Zinnia
